Starts their junior tournament this weekend, June 12th, with a free trip aboard the Western Pride half day boat, the best part about this trip . . . . it's free! There will be some great fisherman on this trip helping kids learn and improve their fishing skills! Immediately following the trip there will be a BBQ and opening ceremonies at the club. Fishing is starting to heat up , wish the weather would . .. . . .
Nothing better for your kids to do than participate in this FREE tournament, it lasts most of the summer, they get great prizes and awesome trophies. Last year there were several world records set during the tournament, including our team member here at the Just add beer, Jonny Schniepp.
Prepare yourself if your son or daughter does catch a world record fish, there is a lot of paperwork, you need to get motorized, takes around an hour and needs to have witness information.
At the BBQ and on the boat there will be some great professional anglers on hand to help out. There are a couple in the mix that are semi famous, one in fact as rumor has it, might have been the inventor or one of the first to start the punk dance craze "slam Dancing" which later evolved into the mosh pit. Should be a fun summer of fishing and cooking - the most perfect food - the Fish Taco!
More tips of the trade:
Top a taco off with a Mexican lime, Mexican limes are usually a bit smaller and have a thinner skin -
You will see what I mean when you peel one, there is a slight difference of taste which lends itself to a perfect blend with salsa and tortillas.
Jonny's tip -
Top the taco with ketchup . . . lots of it . . .. . that's it ketchup! I tried it, have to admit it's not bad!
