Fathers Day Special Some Great old Pics -

My Dad on the Left, His dad, my grandfather, on the right.
Circa early 1950's in front of Horse Ranch

Impeccable sense of style from an early age, yes, that is an orange tree in the background. Hard to believe that innocent face woke up Xmas morning to find a bundle of switches instead of presents.

I'm a fourth generation Orange County Fisherman, and have my father to thank for that. I grew up in a backyard full of abalone shells, swordfish bills, misc. floats, fishing and dive gear.

The things my dad did was the stuff of legend, from a kids point of view, that is -
Nothing like playing with your friends in the street and having fire crackers thrown at you from the kitchen window! Should have heard him laugh !!

Quick story of his youth: Figured his dads new car needed running boards, nothing like  a couple gunny sacks, box of nails and a hammer to fix the problem. He got a quick lesson in physics that day!
Or
The time he decided to mail a fish to his grandma and neglected to tell anybody there was a fish in the mail box, it gets hot in Orange, can only imagine the stink!

Cheers

Dave
